My Reasons Why - CeCe Etter

CeCe and Wish Kids
Meet the faces behind the mission. We sat down with the individuals behind the scenes to find out why they chose to dedicate their time and talent to granting the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Today's spotlight focuses on Wish Coordinator, CeCe Etter.

Q: Why did you decide to join the mission of Make-A-Wish?

A: My dad recruited me as a wish granter three years ago and I absolutely fell in love with it! I was looking for another way I could get involved in the foundation. Then I fell upon a Wish Coordinator position! Although I am still within the first couple months of my employment, I feel as though I have been with Make-A-Wish for years. I feel so welcome and everyone is excited to be working for such an amazing foundation that really makes a difference in people’s lives.

Q: What is the most rewarding experience you've had with Make-A-Wish?

A: The most rewarding part about working with Make-A-Wish is when I get to hear from wish kids and their families on how the wish went. I love hearing the stories and seeing the pictures from wishes! It feels good to know we are truly making a difference in people’s lives for the better.

Q: What has been your favorite part in working with Make-A-Wish?

A: My favorite part of working for Make-A-Wish is collaborating with an amazing group of people that all have the same core mission. We are all moving towards the same goal and work together to do it! I never could have imagined being employed at Make-A-Wish, making a difference, or working with such an awesome group of people! I love coming into work every day knowing how important our jobs are to others!
