Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ Board of Directors has elected Tricia Justice of Brightview Landscape Development as Board Chair. Justice has served on the Board of Directors of the Missouri and Kansas and Greater Los Angeles chapters of Make-A-Wish for eight years. The organization grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses and recently granted its 10,000th wish in Los Angeles.

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 has hosted the annual “Show-N-Shine” show for 25 years at WSU, and the event helps support the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Make a Wish Idaho will present its annual car show from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday in Twin Falls City Park. Registration will take place from 8 a.m. to noon. Lamb Weston will sponsor the event. Judging will begin at 1 p.m. Trophies for first, second and third places will be awarded at 3 p.m. along with a special presentation of the Make a Wish Choice Award by Make a Wish recipient Cosette.

For several years Gram has been able to attend the Wishing on a Ride event held during the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in August where participants get to ride in one of the race boats.

Twelve-year-old Drake Kiderlen of Troy, Missouri, who is battling a Pineal Parenchymal Tumor, will attend Gen Con this year on an all-expenses-paid trip with his family.

For the first time in its 51 year history, a Make-A-Wish kid's dream will be granted at Gen Con. Drake Kiderlen is a 12-year-old gamer from Troy, Missouri. who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in summer 2018 after bouts of vomiting, severe headaches and crossed eyes sent him to the emergency room. After a mass was found on his brain, Kiderlen was flown to St. Louis Children's Hospital where it was determined that he was suffering from a pineal parenchymal tumor.

Gen Con, the largest and longest-running tabletop gaming convention in North America, is partnering with Make-A-Wish® to make a Missouri boy's wish to attend the convention come true at Gen Con 2019 this August 1-4. Twelve-year-old Drake Kiderlen of Troy, MO, who is battling a Pineal Parenchymal Tumor, will attend Gen Con this year on an all-expenses-paid trip with members of his family. Drake's wish will be the first time a wish is granted at Gen Con.
