Q: Why did you decide to join the mission of Make-A-Wish?
A: I had always heard about Make-A-Wish and really connected to the mission. Each wish story I heard had me thinking about the wish child for some time. It was something I knew I wanted to be a part of and was beyond thrilled when I had the opportunity to join the Make-A-Wish team.
Q: What is the most rewarding experience you’ve had with Make-A-Wish?
A: The most rewarding experience I have had with Make-A-Wish is seeing a wish kid smile. Knowing the child is fighting a brave battle but can experience joy in their journey because of Make-A-Wish, is the greatest. I not only work for Make-A-Wish, but I volunteer as a wish granter because I love meeting wish kids and their families…they truly are inspirational!
Q: What has been your favorite part in working with Make-A-Wish?
A: Meeting wish kids of course! Sitting with a wish child as they brainstorm ideas for their wish is such an exciting time…you never know what their wish is going to be. Also, I am a mother myself and love being able to share with my kids that you can have a positive impact on another person’s life. My children want to be wish granters when they are old enough, so I am proud they recognize how special Make-A-Wish is for everyone involved!
